So Close Yet Still Far

Well it's exactly 3 more days before I finally board my flight back to Malaysia, and 4 more days till I meet my loved ones! CAN'T WAIT!!!

I've had a wonderful 1 year here in the UK, with awesome memories. Wouldn't lie but there were times of 'menyampah times' but all in all my one year here has been memorable and a chance in a life time I would say. I've grown a lot in so many ways and am more confident in certain things. One thing for sure is the guts to do something and that one decision I made, has made me the happiest person on earth ! hehehe *wink*

Last week I had received some super duper heartbreaking news from mommy, asking me to make a decision to put my baby Jackie to sleep as the other dog bit Jackie on her growth. A growth that developed while I was here in UK and was not informed off until that night when I had to make a decision. What was my decision?? I beg mom to save her no matter and to take her to a private vet. Hey for the first time in my life i begged my brother!!! But the end result which I got from mommy yesterday has made me happy again. Jackie's operation when successfully and I do not have to put her to sleep! YIPPEEE!!!! I know Jackie won't be around for that long especially since she is already 12 yrs of age... but my baby is a fighter, has been since she was a lil naughty puppy and will always be as an old fart machine hehehehe.


Ok... I am seriously a lastminute.com when it comes to packing. My luggage is packed, my knapsack and IT bag on the other hand isn't. The stuff to be shipped by cargo are packed and ready in the closet. Yet I still cant see my damn floor!!! And I'm so drained from the party last night! I could so do with a nice long massage.

Sigh......time to drag my arse back to packing and not dilly dally any longer, esp since I have to meet Giovanni in an hour for Coffee at Costa Coffee for our last round of updates, gossips etc etc hahahah.

OH! just realized something. This is going to be my last post from the Lake District (Windermere to be exact) and most likley the last post from the UK. Next post will be when I'm back on Msian Soil. Maybe I'll bug my GB to blog something nice and juicy before she hijacks my blog with Steph! hahaha.

The Countdown Begins.....

Roughly 3weeks left before my time in the UK is up. My feelings are all mixed. I'm sad to leave this place as I have made some really good friends here esp Giovanni, Ausra, Rachel and Matej. Haha not to mention my crazy night life where we go out almost every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night -_-' hehehe. But honestly speaking I'm super thrilled and excited to return back to Malaysia as it has been almost 1 year since I last saw my parents and my old 4legged fart machine Jackie =p. Plus there is something else to look forward too ;).

I'm scratching my head thinking how on earth I'm going to start my packing as over the year, a lot of shopping has been done both here in the UK and in Switzerland -_-'. Clothes, Dvds, Perfumes, books, external hard drives, cameras etc to sort. HELP!!! Back at home another headache is waiting for me....boxes of my stuff to unpack as mom moved back to PD in March. -_-...RJ hates packing and unpacking!! *sobs*

Windermere Air Show 2008

A couple of weeks ago, the annual Windermere Air Show was on for the weekend. Went out during Saturday with Rachel and Joanne as Lisa had been good enough to give off on the first day. I recall it being a nice and sunny day, which was spent in Gleep Park for a bit playing certain games like bumper cars withs the boys Albert, Rafal and Bogdan whom we bump into there. From there we moved on to The Ship for beers and coronas before heading back to Rachel's flat where I hogged the tele and refused to swap the channel all because they were showing about Malaysian cuisines. Meleleh leleh air liuh RJ looking at our national dish and pop one image comes out...ICE KACANG!!! RJ WANTS!!!!!!!! lol. anyways enough bull shit ...here are some pics from that day.

Reading my last post, clearly indicates that I have lost the motivation to write a decent post. Therefore I shall be taking a lil break from writing in this blog and just stick to posting photos for the time being. First photo will be the fridge of one of the managers here at the Belsfield Hotel. Her place is also our party pad... where lots of hanky panky tends to take place hahahah jk.

Hehehe party night again tonight. Thank goodness I'm off esok. A normal day out would result in this much alcohol being consumed. This was only 5 of us out that day.

Working life....sigh

Typing this entry out on word document because bloody internet is out again. Nyampah betul!!
OMG!! What a hectic day at work. From the time I stepped into reception both ‘G’ and I were running around like mad, from the guests to the phone and back again. It was never ending! I’m not complaining about the work load, especially since when at work I like being busy. Habit I guess especially all my life all the hotels I worked in were 5* and we were always busy. Today on the other hand was just ridiculous. Why? Gawd, people here can be so thick sometimes. Hehe at one point I got so angry with ‘T’, this lady that works in our central reservations. We all hate her because all the time she messed up our bookings etc. Today was the best though, she called up and asked me to check a reservation that was made by a guest on laterooms.com (who has different confirmation numbers than from our system), this idiotic person just could not seem to get it into her head and kept pestering us. At the end said can you ring the guest back, to which I said ok with pleasure… but guess what that mangkuk did…. Or shall I say didn’t do. No guest name, no arrival date and couldn’t even remember the laterooms confirmation number, all she remembered was the phone number!! That was the last straw! So yours truly nicely fired ‘T’ and said if she kept on doing this bullshit I won’t even deal with her anymore. ‘G’ could not believe it, as it was the first time I’ve exploded like that, and somehow he found it hilarious and was sitting in the corner cracking up T_T. WTF!! Hahaha.

So there you go all in all a crazy but not so bad day at work hahaha. At the end of the shift, I got my usual free drink… ‘Blue Wkd’ (vodka) from the bar complimentary of the bar manager ‘P’ and sat out back in the smoking zone with some other stuff and chilled.

Now….time for me to crash as got to get back in to work in 7hours! *Yawn* ^O^

Today was Rj’s turn to be a lil lazy at work. First of all, dragging my arse out of bed this morning was such a hassle as it was nice and cold and I kept snoozing my alarm. Made it in the nick of time for work though so woot! Hehehe. Now I’m lazy to eat! Hahaha yes you read it right, I’m lazy to eat! Going to watch ‘Taiyou no Uta’ then head to bed so can dream more hahaha.

Sick Bored RJ

OMG So Boring!!!! I'm at work at the moment, but with all the medication running through my body and it being super quite here at work today, I'm in a self battle trying to NOT fall asleep though the migraine just ain't helping me one bit. I should have called in sick today, but decided not to for a few reasons.But I'm starting to think maybe it was not a wise move to come in to work especially since my temperature is back, and I've got a splitting headache and super duper congested nose. So right now I'm just waiting for the last 3hrs of my shift to finish then I can crawl and cuddle Dong Dong and Kissy (heheh my dolphin and ducky stuff toy) and just doze off. Still have 6 days to work before I get my off day and I'm already waiting for that day so I can just sleep and not worry about work. Can't wait Cant wait!!

A collegue has given me some medication which seems to help but if this doesn't go away soon, I'm going to have to go see the docs here which I hate to do! Rj hates clinics and hospitals!! =(. I've been at work for 5hours now and the amount of hot tea that I have already consumed is going to put me off tea for a bit once I get well. Hehehe RJ is so bonkers at work today, that I am singing or shall I say humming all crazy tunes. Kesian Matt having such a bonkers rakan kerja at work today hehehe =P. Gawd the nicknames I have been called since I came here is wow. from 'cheeky' , 'trouble' (somehow this nickname follows Lily and I all the way from Switz hehe), 'little mermaid' (don't ask me y), 'cheeky monkey', 'dolphin', 'jiggly puffs', 'Gibbon' (help haha), 'little', 'naughty miss' (sigh) etc etc. Holy smokes that sure is quite a few nicknames. Ooo and my general manager called me 'sugar fairy' once -_-' (parah case).

You can tell I'm really bored at work today. Hmmm I'm wondering if I should go up to London next week. Just to go for the Pride party they having. Still thinking hehehe.

Nobody to sayang RJ while she is sick =(. No Jackie to follow me around as well =( Waaaaaa I miss my four legged old fart machine hehehe.

KKL...aku don't gag, aku jilat hahahaha just kidding. sorry had to add this line coz u had me cracking up earlier on the phone muahahaha ;) and KKL, Rj's rule, if RJ is sick kena disayang not dibully!!! =P

First Aider RJ

Today has been a super super tiring but fulfilling day! Woke up early today as Giovanni and I had to attend our First Aiders training course in Kendal. Yes you read right... first aider training (part 1). hehehe so now RJ is officiallly qualified to give CPR =p. Anyone want to volunteer become RJ's 'victim' muahahaha. It was an interesting course altogether.

Met up with Lily and Anetka after our course at around 4ish and we headed down to Cafe Nero, one of our favorite to satisfy our caffeine fix. It doesn't beat the Starbucks like we get back home in Malaysia... but it is 100times better than Costa Coffee which so many Brits seem to prefer.

Well as usual, when 'bonkers' people meet up and each carry their own camera... it tends to result in a lot of cam-whoring etc hahaha. Giovanni has called me paparazzi *mamamia*. Anyways am off to bed to get some shut eyes and let the medicines do its job.

In The End........

Sometimes life takes us down paths we try so hard to avoid. No matter how hard we try, we still pass through that path. I hide from everyone, or maybe I'm just hiding from myself? Who knows. It's better to hide then to face reality. Our problems is best kept to ourselves as no one will truly understand them. I now believe a friend when she used to say that before. Unless you walk in that person's shoes, you will never truly understand what that person is going through. Sometimes I wish I could just turn back time. To the time when I looked at the world with full of hope and dreams. Back to the time when I was a child with no worries at all.

It is important to tell the truth everytime? Heaven knows. I've tried it but at the end the person that gets hurt the most is no one else but me. Maybe it's best to tell people what they want to hear. I've learned to hide my feelings since I was 9... I can still do it now. I've fooled everyone with the 'act' I've put up. Let them think I'm a happy rich man's kid. I don't give a shit. People judge us without knowing who we truly are. That is their lost. Some of you have seen through my wall especially, Hien, Lily, MeiMei and Kyels ^_^ and to these special 4 friends I have I am truly grateful. They took the trouble to get to know me. Which I thank God everyday for their presence. They make life worth living for. For those of you who decide to judge me without taking the trouble to really get to know me... that is your choice. Don't pretend to care etc when you don't. I don't need pity and I don't need fake "friendship".

Ich bin...

Some of you may remember this song...someday by MLTR. I must be really old since this song is more than 10years old hahaha. I remember loving it then, but sekarang kira it's got a much deeper and personal meaning.
Suprisingly how chilling at a friend's place and he was like RJ do you know this song, and it just brought back memories and *ping* it has been looping on my player. Together with another song given to me by a dear friend of mine. Will put that song up in the next post.

Anyways I'm on a 3 day break. Been FORCED to take my Lou Day (PH) in advance. Bummer big time as I can't go anywhere anyway since the weather is sucky and transportation back to my place on Sunday SUCKS!! So yea RJ terpaksa habiskan cuti dia di Windermere. Menyampah betul cuti but takleh gi mana-mana.

Eh .... looks like hotel ni serious pasal I untuk stay on one more year. F/O manager bilang, yang I akan di 'train' sebagai Duty Manager untuk bila I pulang kerja dengan mereka dalam bulan October 2008. Tapi hotel ini kira kena berjaga-jaga. Kalau setakat percakapan sahaja kira tak laku. Lainlah kalau in Black and white can hold them to their word. Anyway let's see how it goes. But for now, I miss my mom and little old 4-legged farty baby so much. Jackie wait for me... baby I'll come back and spoil you rotten for one month!! hehe. and you can bark all you want hahaha.

Tinggal 3 hari lagi sebelum something happens. lol. Aku pun tak tahu macam mana nak behave pada hari Isnin. Tengok la. Nasib baik I kerja juga lol.

Does it really work???

On New Year’s Eve this year a few of us included a Spanish tradition into our New Year celebration. It’s nothing great but lets see if it works hehehe. No harm trying right? We had to eat 12 grapes each time the clock went ‘Tong’ ‘Tong’ Hahaha. Supposedly for 12months of filled with success, happiness and riches! Ahem!! Now how can I resists partaking in it considering how bad the second half of last year turned out. Well so far it has been good. Got a little token from my hotel small angpow hehehe. Though it was only a small amount but I think it’s good. I mean how many times will your general manager come and say thank you to you personally for helping to maximize revenue. So next gaji adalah duit lebih untuk aku Yipee!!! Hopefully I can earn more cash from overtime. Thinking of getting a part time job now just to fully utilize my time. Kind of weird having 2 days off each week after working 6days a week with more than 48hours each week back home.

Five more days till I fly off to Switzerland again. Suppose to be for 2 weeks but reduced because will be coming back early to “explore” London with my best friend Hien ^_^”.

Crazy plans this holidays as am planning to squeeze in 2 days in Rome into the whole week in Switzerland. 100pounds per person including accommodations and return flight from Switzerland is reasonably priced. Might as well enjoy while I can especially since I’m planning to totally increase my savings *fingers cross*.

I've found the best exercise ever. Wanna work majority of your muscles?? Hit the dance floor!! Twice in a week and I'm feeling good. Now I must learn to dance properly *grin*.

Crap 4hours till I have to wake up for my shift and I still can’t get any shut eyes. Scheiße!!

A Fresh Start

Finally the year 2007 has ended!! The year had started out well with things slowly falling into place as planned but reach mid year it all went downhill. It was what I would call a cursed year for me beginning with the passing of my beloved Aunt and followed by a chain of unexpected and unwelcome events.

Anyways it's a new year now, a time to restart my life. I use the word restart due to many reasons but in my situation I guess it fits perfectly well. To a certain few who had been there during my lowest moments... I thank you all greatly!! ^_^. To some of you who knew something was wrong and tried to get me to share I thank you all too, but forgive me for not opening up to you as there are some secrets that are meant to remain in the closet.

New Year Celebrations in the UK would be what I would say is just another reason for people to get drunk. hahaha and that's what happened to majority of the staff at my hotel. Was I one of them?? Nope! hahaha I stopped after only 5 drinks. But after the party at the hotel (which was for the guests) but at the end most of the staffs started dancing as well hehehe. lol I was one of them too as kena tarik masuk by Mr. J, my GM. After the fireworks at my hotel around midnight, we headed down to Wheelhouse a local club where most of my colleagues were busy working up the dance floor. Stayed till 3am. It was a nice way to exercise I would say hahaha! then we all came back to the hotel and continued yakking away till like 430am before splitting. Most of us (including me) had to work in the morning (on the 1st) but luckily most of guests were suffering from hangover to notice us suffering from one! Was a good New Year Celebration I would say.

I shall not be updating my blog as frequently as I used anymore due to certain personal reasons. I have slightly detached myself from the outside world as there are certain "demons" that I need to sort out. A lot of personal time you can say. ^_^

I didn't bother making a new year resolution this year as somehow it seem pointless to do so. But I would say I know the things I need to do and shall try to achieve them. Though only one I doubt I can achieve as it has to do with feelings but who knows...only time will tell *shrugs*.

Mom decided to send me an e-mail today which just hits the spot, but I started laughing the minute I saw it because it's so cute.

Mua NIKE

Oh boy what a day I had. A lazy day that is hehehe. I just love my off days as it's the only days I get to be lazy and sleep in as late as I want to. Not that late though today coz Shane woke me up hahaha.... but then I dozed back to sleep the minute we hung up. Woke up slightly after 12pm showered bla bla bla and met Angela and we went walking around this Bowness area. Now even though I'm away from my favourite hang out spots like Coffee Ceans and Starbucks, thank goodness there's still Costa Coffee which seems quite popular here in the Cumbrian area. But it's limited to coffee, tea and choco drinks with only a few selections of Ice-blended drinks but as long the coffee is there RJ is all smiles ^_^". Will post the pictures taken today soon. Though they are not of good "quality" as ding dong RJ forgot to reduce the ISO setting on her camera after messing around with the settings! So I've got tons of photos that have a large amount of noise in them =( .

Hmmm time for RJ to buy more shoes. Shall I get another NIKE?? or ADIDAS?? hmmm. I love the NIKE shoes that mom got for me for my birthday in August hehehe (I picked she paid ^_^). Well Kyels was there to help me pick hehehe.. Eh budak got use the vouchers or not?? Don't let them go to waste.

OK I should go to bed since it's already like 0245hrs here in UK and I have yet to decide if I wanna join Grp A to go to Liverpool or Grp B to Kendal. Hmmm!! Zzzzzzzzzzz Toodles for now. Zzzzz

Elektronische Gadgets Part 1

I'm off !!! ^_^. Which is good can sleep in late hehe. Been on early shifts for the past week which is great because the day seems to go by much faster (at work) and since it's been a "quite" week I'm glad to be on the early shift.

Anyways this post is going to be on gadgets that I own. Unless many girls out there, I am more interested in electronical gadgets rather than fashion. Now don't get me wrong, I still spend a large amount of my cash shopping on cloths, shoes etc but I spend more on these gadgets hehehe.

So what have I purchased so far? If you're thinking of an Ipod...sadly nope. Still have not got to that yet *sigh* hahaha maybe for my Xmas present hehehe. Below are part 1 of the gadgets that I have here with me in the UK.

Finally got my photoshop to work again!! after so long but thanks to Doruk its all up and running again. Work was tiring today... not because of the work load but due to the behaviour of certain individuals that were so disrespectful and hurtful to the employees in the hotel. There was this english lady who came to check out and all of a sudden started yelling at my fellow collegue macam-macam. She kept going an English hotel should employ english staff etc etc. Kesian my collegue. Tapi perempuan tu ish melebih lebih, I was so close to raising my voice and also my hands to slap her face! konon english tapi when writing the comment card for my GM can't even spell "unbearable" properly instead jadi I quote "unberable" etc etc SUCH A MORON!! You would think that a developed country would at least have more civilized citizens, but sadly in the UK there are still a lot of racism going around.

Hey fellow Malaysians if you think Malaysia is on the teruk side, wait till you get here. At least transportation in Malaysia is still ok, here always got problems on their public transportation. Guess Margaret Thatcher invested too much in the airports here rather than on the most used rail and road systems. Being here for only 2 months makes me think living in KL is way better as no matter what our public transportations are still ok and a whole lot cheaper than here. It's much cheaper flying to Switzerland (about 30 pounds with easy jet) than travelling to London with the dang railline which costs much much more than 30quids.

Ok I'm starting jump from topic to topic....a sign that RJ is "Müde" or shall I say "Fatigué".
so of to bed for me.... gotta rise and shine early for work. YAWN!!!!!!

Well I guess it's about time I updated my blog. I would be lying if I said i didn't have the time to update....just somehow lost the motivation to write. There are some things that no matter how one wishes to express will forever remain in the dark due to the nature of the whole agenda.

Anyways life in the UK is great actually...though not as great as originally planned due to some unforeseen incident. ..but the pay here beats what I'll earn in Malaysia. But one thing that doesn't seem to change to matter which country you're in.... Staff mealls for those working in the hotel line SUCKS!!! hahaha bet many of you would agree. Suprising how "chefs" can actually create dishes that are sometimes just....well let's just say even Jackie would just look the other way. Sometimes I feel I can cook better... and those of you who really know me...will know I CAN'T COOK!!! =p

People here where I am are friendly. But doubt I'll ever get use to the fact that people behind the counters in stores say, " Hi love how are you? See you love" SO WEIRD!!! They are very friendly that well you know seperti biasa... kalau too nice kenalah berjaga-jaga. I've been here for like 2months now and still trying to get used to the Cumbrian accent which can be really hard to understand as it's very heavy similiar to the Scottish accent and being RJ yang pekak badak,,, sometimes I will be like, "I beg your pardon?? etc etc" you get the picture.

Talking about RJ... I can't go by that nickname here because my general manager's initials are that too and that's what everyone refers to him. But I kind of feel calling him RJ hahah so I just go "Mr.J" hehehe. Imagine me calling my managers back in Msia with just their initials...sure kena sound!

On to a totally different topic. Life has taken a very different direction for me. Something that I didn't expect to happen in the near future happened. Well that's life...certain things will always remain out of our hands no matter how we plan or wish them to happen it just will not. How I wish I could believe what I just said, but I would be lying if I said that I've accepted what has totally happened... because I still wish that it didn't and things would change. Anyways lately I've been living my life is totally unacceptable and not me at all. It's like I'm actually outside of my body looking down on my life and trying to change but just impossible.

anyways I'm gonna quit here. Head loaded on all sorts of medication just ain't thinking straight anymore. Sides there is much to be said but non- for the pubic eye at the moment.
